The OCML Proletarian Way extends its full support to our Indian comrades in the Communist Party of India (Maoist), to the Party, and to its Central Committee.

For months, the CPI (Maoist) has been the target of an unprecedented offensive, Operation Kaagar, in its guerrilla zones and support bases, openly backed by U.S. imperialism. It has suffered heavy blows because of the repression : its General Secretary Basav Raj was killed on May 21 (see https://ocml-vp.org/article2795.html), along with a significant portion of its Central Committee.
Since then, Modi’s Hindu-fascist regime has continued the offensive, resulting in heavy losses for the People’s War and the surrender of hundreds of fighters. Under military and political pressure from the fascist government, a petty-bourgeois liquidationist faction formed within the CPI (Maoist) to abandon the People’s War, reconcile with the regime, and become a legal and reformist party. This led to the expulsion from the Party of several important leaders who advocated discouragement and surrender.

French imperialism has always been a staunch supporter of the fascist Modi, particularly regarding the sale of weapons and Rafale fighter jets (with congratulations from Mélenchon), and we affirm that the Maoists of France, including the OCML Proletarian Way, have always been staunch supporters of the CPI (Maoist) and the People’s War that began in March 1967 in West Bengal.

The People’s War has suffered severe setbacks, and now is the time to retreat and protect the Party. But this is only a temporary phase, for the causes of the revolt and the uprising remain unchanged : the domination of the landlords, the development of a capitalism subservient to imperialism, Modi’s Hindu fascism, anti-Muslim racism, and caste-based racial segregation remain the daily reality for hundreds of millions of Indian proletarians and poor peasants.

The OCML Proletarian Way affirms its unwavering support for the People’s War led by the CPI (Maoist), and is absolutely confident in the future once these temporary difficulties are overcome. The CPI (Maoist) has existed for nearly 60 years, and this is not the first time it has suffered setbacks of this magnitude. We are certain that it will know how to retreat, protect itself, and sustain the People’s War, before launching new victorious offensives.
