US imperialism, hands off Venezuela, Yankees Go Home !

The aggression of the United States and the criminal kidnapping of Maduro reveal the true nature of imperialism, which will stop at nothing to defend its interests. So-called international law, which was already nothing more than a fig leaf for the Western imperialist order, has been openly thrown in the trash. Once again, we have been warned. We can only count on ourselves in the face of capitalist and imperialist exploiters.

The pretext fools no one, not even the international bourgeoisie. Trump’s hunt for drug traffickers in Venezuela is like Putin’s hunt for Nazis in Ukraine : a grotesque pretext for invading, subjugating, and appropriating the wealth of a country with the world’s largest oil reserves. Trump even had the audacity to call on US oil companies to invest in Venezuela...

The criminal aggression of the United States is merely the manifestation of growing confrontations between major imperialist powers at the global level. Trump wants to reclaim the US’s preserve in Latin America, while the US faces strong competition from China, which has become the continent’s second largest trading partner and even its largest financial lender. Venezuela itself was now dependent on massive Chinese loans to support its faltering economy.
This is a sign of the growing factors of war at the international level. Inter-imperialist competition is increasing, leading to an increasingly tense confrontation and the possibility of a new world conflict, a true slaughter for the peoples of the world.

As for French imperialism, Macron did not even condemn the coup, openly aligning himself with Trump. French forces have once again bombed Syria, and we have not forgotten the liquidation of Gaddafi in Libya, which set Africa ablaze. Right now, Macron, Lecornu, and the others are openly pursuing the general militarization of society and preparing for the coming war.

Faced with these risks of war, only international solidarity among peoples can put an end to imperialism and reaction.
– First and foremost, of course, with the Venezuelan people, including the millions of migrants driven out by poverty and scattered across every continent. Venezuela has never been a socialist country, a convenient label used to mask the bureaucratic exploitation of the state and mining bourgeoisie, a bogeyman also brandished by reactionaries to justify their intervention.
– With the Latin American peoples, who see the specter of open military intervention returning, and the possibility of new interventions in Cuba, Colombia, Mexico, or elsewhere. And in the immediate future, the construction of new US military bases.
– With the peoples of the world, in the Middle East for a free, secular, and democratic Palestine, against Zionism and its US support ; in Ukraine against Russian imperialism and the corrupt Atlanticist government of Zelensky ; in Iran, currently fighting against the capitalist and fundamentalist mullahs and under threat of US intervention ; in the Philippines, a veritable US aircraft carrier mobilized against Chinese imperialism in the region, and everywhere on the planet...

Finally, we echo the words of our Greek comrades from the KKEml : "In this bleak landscape, the working class and the masses are not called upon to choose sides between the imperialists, but to organize and develop their own struggle against imperialism as a whole, against the system that is dragging humanity into slaughter in order to overcome the crisis of capital."
