In Greece and everywhere we must save ourselves !

The situation is becoming a nightmare for the Greek people as a whole and for the Greek proletariat in particular.
As already happened in France in 2005 following the victory of the No vote in the referendum on the Treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe, the European imperialists and the government headed by Tsipras have ridden roughshod over the Greek people’s resolve to refuse austerity as expressed in the No vote in the referendum held on 5 July, as well as abstention and spoilt ballots. But in the Greek case, it didn’t even take ten days to materialise…
On the morning of 13 July, a unanimous agreement was finally announced by the Eurogroup. Tsipras and his government had given in to the Troika’s demands, including measures such as a hard-hitting reform of the pensions system, the privatisation of the electricity sector, raising taxes, a reform of the labour legislation and earmarking 50 million euros to pay off debts and to endorse a new debt...
The day after the results of the Greek referendum, we stated that : “We stand by the Greek people, not the reformist government which proposes nothing more than austerity with ‘a human face’.” Today it is clear that the terms of the agreement are even harsher than those imposed by the Troika on previous governments over the last five years. The situation in Greece highlights the failure of the reformist strategy. And in France the response leaves much to be desired, with the reformists in the Left Front and elsewhere telling us that Tsipras had his hands tied by Merkel and that François Hollande is a poor little sod who does what he can but that Germany is too fierce ! So, in addition to refusing to face up to the facts and the capitulation by Tsipras, they to fall back on jingoistic rhetoric and anti-German sentiment in order to sweeten the pill !
The time has come to take stock ! Because there can be no future in Greece or anywhere else without a clean break with Capitalism. There can be no future without a clean break with reformism which only serves to stifle revolt by the masses ! There can be no future without the organisation of our class ! There can be no future until the bourgeoisie is defeated, be it European, Greek, French or German !

There can be no future without revolution !
